What fake babas (Swamis, Priests, Paramhansa) do? How to identify fake babas?

How to know a baba is real or fake? they make have one or more following traits.

1. They make you put their picture in your puja alter along with gods. They think they are above god or equal to god and hence they will make you put their pictures in your puja alter. I believe god is everywhere but that doesn't mean I've to worship their pictures. Why don't they just preach to meditate on all pervading god?
2. They will make you wear their malas with their pictures. This is ridiculous. It's just self promotion. A true sanyasi wouldn't require to promote self as the God. This show of malas, pictures means promoting self as the god.
3. Everywhere in their ashrams or establishments their pictures will be everywhere like they are god or something. Another form of self promotion. Why their picture is required? isn't it a form of maya? Having their personal pictures. Pictures of perishable body everywhere means he is entangled not enlightened. He is after name, and fame. he is fake.
4. They will claim they have brahmagyan or they are enlightened, or even paramahansa. The real enlightened will never claim he has a brahmagyan, or he is enlightened. Actually he doesn't care. He is beyond all this defination. He lives at 50000 feet where all differences goes away and there only pure consciousness, bliss (sat-chit-ananda) is there. At this point he has no need to 'advertise' his siddhis or achievements that he is enlightened. Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa never self-claimed he was enlightened. Swami Vivekanand never claimed he was enlightend. Shirdi Saibaba never claimed to be enlightened one. They all stayed away from such things.
5. Claims to have healing powers. Healing is required for ignorant. for those who are enlightened have already lost their deha bhava. for them it's aham-brahmasmi. I am that. and the I in that is completely lost. Pure consciousness only prevails. when one still have deha bhava they require healing powers to remove pains caused by maya. when one dwells in pure consciousness he doesn't have any pain. for example: Ramana maharishi went into mahasamadhi when his arm surgery was done. He wasn't given any medications to sleep. Hence, healing is required when you still have dehabhava. for the enlightened ones they don't require siddhis like healing powers. They are above that. Healing powers are required to make money and self promotion.
6. Setup their own ashrams organisations or temple and claim it's public. Setting up ashrams even to help others is setting up a web of maya. getting entangled in maya. After you setup ashram you'll need money to run ashram, you'll need money to do any thing. Money is again maya and it's not easy to get detached from such maya. Even the greatest saints have tried and failed and that's why they say when you want to give punishment to a monk make him the head of a mutt. He will be automatically get entangled into web of maya and will lose his ultimate mission in life -- mukti. One can still remain anonymous or visits places to places without having to establish ashrams and spread the knowledge. Establishing ashrams means setting up a profitable venture. easy way to become richer than Mr. Bill Gates. (Swami Paramahansa Nithyananda for example).
7. Claims to spread world peace. World peace isn't possible with ignorance. Let's see the root cause. we have many regions, religions, races, cast. Everyone thinks their religion is the only way to achieve salvation -- mukti, and others are living in ignorance. People fight for land, people fight over many such things. It is like saying if everyone converts to my religion (Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, etc...) there will be a peace. But this is practically not possible. If every one gets enlightenment and then the world peace is possible and not everyone gets enlightenment. Not everyone gets salvation. Maya will prevail. The attachments are very strong not easy to come out of it. Once the attachment is gone then differences are gone, we fill we are that, we are the consciousness. hence ignorance is gone. But even if someone reads vivkea chudamani, and other texts still not everyone gets moksha, not everyone can digest the ultimate knowledge because of the reflective consciousness. It's difficult to have a world peace through any religion. It needs karmic efforts. Religions are the major cause of world unrest. You can't tell everyone to do meditation wear your guru's mala in neck and you get world peace. That's pure nonsense.
8. Advertise their activities. The real monks do not require advertisements.
9. Making and selling products with their brand name like baba brand agarbatti, baba-brand mala, books, CDs, baba brand this, and baba brand that. Why there is a need to do this thing? unless they want to make money for profit? but they will say we use those money for the world peace, helping poor, towards education and medicines etc.... If you want to do social service, do with your own money, do not ask for donations or sell things. if you want to spread knowledge then give those books and CDs for free. Our great rishis never had 'fees'. They had guru dakshina and it was yatha shakti. No printed fee structure. However some rishies did ask for some specific amount but only once or twice that also to meet their needs. Not as a commercial activity. These modern babas have commercial activities. They sale their mala, photo, everything. Knowledge should be free. Avoid such fee based babas.
10. Having fee based systems for darshan for example Sri Nityananda had fee for kalpataru darshan, even when one of the sri sri visited USA and other parts he had several charged based discourses. Avoid such Swamis.
11. Some swamis are self claimed Jagadgurus. They have huge ashrams close to vrindavan and in texas. He is aged and remains topless and wanders among women to sing bhajans. Some people even wrote to him to put on some top but he wouldn't. Also when you take sanyas you give up married life, recently one of the jagadguru's wife's shraddh was celebrated in grand fashion and many people died as the roof collapsed. If you took sanyas then why you still celebrate wife's shraddham? do you know when they take sanyas they have to give up everything including janeo, punnal, upanayan. They have to do viraja homam to give up everything. They don't have mental renunciation how they can preach others? Please avoid such babas.

I've seen many priests working in public temples in the USA and setting up their private temples. They nominate their close aids as a directors and setup a non profit temple. IRS should definitely look into this. These are nothing but a money making ventures. There is no need to set up another temple when the public temple is already there. This is nothing but money making centers and all money goes to their pockets. I've seen such temples everywhere in the unites states. From Seattle to New york. How to identify them? Simple. Check who are the trusties or directors? if the priest's name is there into the board of directors or management then 100% money is going into his pocket.

Please stay away from such babas. No one can heal by kicking you, or sleeping with you, or having a sexual favours from you. God looks for bhakti not how knowledgeable priest or swami is.
